Step 01
Your Free On-Site Estimate
We come to your home, walk the project with you, and look at the real condition of your surfaces. Then we ask what you picture for the space.
You get honest recommendations right there. If a repair needs to happen first, if your deck would do better with a different stain, or if one wall can comfortably wait a season, you will hear it before you spend a dollar.
There is no obligation and nothing owed. Every project also includes a free one-hour color consultation with our interior designer, which is usually the most fun part for homeowners.
- Typically 30 to 45 minutes
- Honest recommendations for your home
- Free hour with our interior designer
Step 02
Your Written, Detailed Proposal
Prep, full scope of work, product, number of coats, and clear line-item pricing. You should be able to read it once and know exactly what you are getting.
Everything is spelled out, including the prep, so there are no surprises later and no hidden fees on the final bill.
Your warranty package is on the proposal too. Coverage runs from 1 to 4 years depending on the package you choose, and the terms are written out before you sign anything.
Step 03
Prep Day at Your Home
Inside, we move and cover your furniture, hang plastic sheeting, lay drop cloths, and paper the floors when the job calls for it. You never have to empty rooms yourself.
Outside, we pressure wash, scrape, sand, handle minor repairs, and re-caulk every joint and seam that has opened up. In Minnesota, careful prep is what keeps your finish looking great for years instead of seasons.
Nothing gets painted until the prep passes our own inspection. It is the step that protects your investment, so we take our time with it.
Step 04
Clear Communication Every Single Day
Every morning your crew is scheduled, you get a text with the window they will arrive in. You can plan your day around it.
At the end of each day you get a recap. In person if you are home, by text if you are not. What got done, what is coming next, and anything we noticed that you should know about.
You are never left wondering what is happening at your house. That daily rhythm is the number one thing homeowners tell us they appreciate most.
Step 05
Your Final Walkthrough
We walk the finished project with you before you ever see a bill. Point out anything you are not happy with and we take care of it while the crew and the equipment are still at your home.
The final invoice only comes after you have signed off. From there your warranty package carries 1 to 4 years of coverage, with the terms already spelled out in the proposal you signed. Ready to make your home feel new again?

Materials
Quality Paint from Sherwin-Williams
We work with Sherwin-Williams and know how its products perform on cedar, LP siding, stucco, and through a Minnesota winter. The product line is matched to your surfaces and written into your proposal.
You won’t be upsold to a premium line your home does not need, and we won’t put a builder-grade product on a project that deserves better.
Warranty coverage
Packages carry 1, 2, or 4 years of coverage. The right one depends on your surfaces, the prep involved, and how long you plan to stay in the home. We walk you through the options at your estimate so you can pick what fits.
How far in advance should I schedule house painting in Minnesota?
We can usually get out for your estimate within a few days. Exterior projects book further out once the season opens in spring, so it helps to get on the calendar early.
Can I be home while you paint?
Absolutely, and you are welcome to be out too. We ask that you be there for the estimate so we can ask you questions, but during the project the morning text and evening recap keep you in the loop either way.
When do I pay my house painter?
Your final invoice comes after the walkthrough, once you have signed off on the work. Deposit terms are listed on your proposal.
What if my painting project changes partway through?
You hear about it the same day, before we do the work. Nothing shows up on your invoice that was not discussed with you first.
Who will be working at my house?
One of our two crews, led by a crew lead who is your point of contact on site. Nelson is still out on jobs too, not managing from a desk.
